He performs such other duties as “directed by the post”.

As Service Officer he assists all members, veterans and dependents to obtain all rights and benefits granted to them by law in accordance with the Service Officer’s manual prepared by the National Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Division. He must also be familiar with the equipment useful to disabled Veterans stored onsite and control the distribution as necessary.

The Judge Advocate shall interpret the Constitution and By-Laws of this post and be prepared to rule on the legality of actions of this membership as to parliamentary procedure according to Robert's Rule of Order. This shall be done annually just prior to installation of officers, and he shall be the chairperson of the Constitution and By-Laws Committee.
